Put Jayda in front of food and she just works non-stop, the girl barely takes a second to breathe between bites, it's quite amazing to see. The pictures say it all, but check out the video to see her in real life action!

Jayda wolves down another meal...
I don't get it, she must get it from her mom because she doesn't get this from me...

Jayda Meets Snow
A huge snowstorm hit the midwest last week and like most kids in the area, Jayda throughly enjoyed her day out of school, albeit pre-school. After playing around the house for awhile, Tricia decided to bundle Jayda up and take her outside to experience the snow.
Needless to say, she liked it!

Nigh-Nigh
During the first year of jayda's life she almost always went to bed hearing the music from her stuffed animal friend "Violet". Now whenever she hears the music she looks at Violet and says "nigh-nigh"...

Poor Jayda-kins
Jayda didn't start the new year in the best fashion. She woke up early new years day running quite the high fever for such a little person(103+), and wasn't really in the mood that would allow our meddling thru 'home remedies'. After a quick cold bath, we headed to urgent care.

We sat in the waiting room for quite awhile before she was admitted back to see the nurse and doctor.

She got some medicine and a couple shots and a Popsicle that she wasn't too happy about. They prescribed her some antibiotic for an ear infection as well.

But the story ends well!
A couple days later she was back to full-health, destroying the house with her noise and toys!

Christmas 2010
Jayda at 14 months, just doesn't understand how excited she should be that Santa is coming. It's Christmas eve and she is just ho-humming around, not anxious, not nervous, not caring if she has been naughty or nice even!
I explain to her that we have to put out cookies & milk for Santa...and she tries to eat the cookies herself!

We follow our normal night routine and she goes to bed without any fanfare.
Christmas day arrives and Jayda actually wakes up a bit earlier than normal, maybe she heard the reindeer on the roof. Mommy gets her ready to go down and see the Christmas tree.

But first we have to double check the cookies to see if Santa actually came. Yep, someone took a bite out of one of them!

The news that Santa has come begins to set in, she wants to go downstairs...NOW!

But much like I had to as a child, she has to wait, and wait and wait on "the stairs"

Finally the time has come and she is unleashed, crawling around the corner like a mad woman she sees the mother-lode

Now the opening and play can begin...

This phone she would carry for the next 3 days occasionally holding it to her ear and talking into it.

She liked her snowsuit but wasn't a big fan of the mittens, she wanted nothing to do with the mittens...

Hey a baby doll! I love Christmas!

December 2010
This will probably be the last Christmas that Jayda will have where she will have no idea who this guy is

To say that she was a bit un-nerved by this old man holding her would be a massive understatement. She didn't like it one bit. She just stared at him for quite awhile before opening the water works. Luckily, we got this priceless picture of the situation before she attempted to wiggle free of her situation.
In the weeks before Christmas we tried to watch her for clues as to what she would enjoy playing with in the coming months. However, all we found was that she really likes playing with an old pacifier that daddy bought her that she didn't even like when she was using a pacifier(she's been 'pacifier-free' for months now). Maybe she'd like vampire-based toys?

She did however enjoy setting up the xmas tree and making a mess in all the cords and lights.

Here are a couple more pics before Christmas

Up next Christmas!
